TOADS Competition
I would like to thank and congratulate TOADS for the running of an excellent and fun agility competition of the weekend. Thanks also to the great work by the judge of the weekend, Marion Allen. It was well organized and ran very smooth and there was always a light and friendly mood.
The competition was attended by PATS Mackay members Tim, Therese and Sarah, and it is always great to get away from the grind and hassles of home and travel away to a great event like this one. The dogs SHITani, Kai and Teal'c also had a great time.
Sarah and SHITani had a lot of fun and success at her first ADAA event collecting 2 clear round certificates in combined-starters events as well as managing 2 first places, 3 seconds and a third. That was good as Sarah liked picking from the prize table. SHITani handled the ADAA heights and team events very well. That diet has really paid off and everyone will have to watch out for the NOTfat dog now!
Kai also surprised everyone, well, mostly Tim, when he managed a couple of half decent runs and a clear round in elementary in his first ADAA event and second ever event of any sort. Unfortunately this means the handler will actually have to start doing a bit more training. Kai even managed to keep it together enough (and not stuff up too much) to help the kelpie team pull off a qualifier on the "canetoad' game. Kai has a cousin Henry who is part kelpie, so he didn't have any trouble running with the smoothcoats.Anyway, again, thanks to TOADS for a great weekend. And thanks to Wendy and Henie for the fun of playing with the 400D's ;)

Thanks for making the trip up here Fairchild's! We had great fun with you all and I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves. It's nice to get people up here that can cop a bit of lip and give it back just as well. We all can't wait until you can host your own comps, TOADS will be there in force!
I think you must have been fibbing to us on Kai's skill level. He did an outstanding job considering that was his second ever comp, looks like we'll have another one to kick our butts next year hey? I guess your handling wasn't too bad either hee hee hee.
Seeya round the ridges I suppose! We'll be in Mackay for Magpies comp in October.
Cheers,
Teegin and Bella
Yeah, sure. Kai was a ring in. It was actually Mr Garibaldi with some black dye...
Seriously I was surprised as any. Last time in the ring he was lucky to do anything!
